currents.nc - Currents input for GNOME in NetCDF format
- input - Input file for TxBLEND which could be used to reproduce currents output
The Currents File is in NetCDF format which is used for hydrodynamic models such as
TxBLEND. The file covers an approximately 22-day period (17 days of hindcast, 5 days of forecast) with "today" being the files labeled date. If you have familiarity with using NetCDF files, running the command "ncdump -h currents.nc" will list out more of the model settings and metadata. There is also a daily Forcings.yyyyMM.DD.zip file containing the environmental forcing information which was used for model boundary conditions.
Physical Units :
- Time: All times are in Universal Time Zone (UTC/GMT).
- Currents: meters/second
