(Transect from the East Bank to the West Bank of the Brazos) Brazos River Freshwater Inflow Survey, November 10 - 11, 2001 Velocity data was measured in real-time with an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) The velocity data presented below was chosen from three locations along each transect: 1) The Center (Ctr), at the deepest part of the transect near the midway point; 2) The Left Bank (Lft) or East Bank, at approximately 1/4 of the total transect distance; 3) The Right Bank (Rt) or West Bank, at approximately 3/4 of the total transect distance. Flow magnitude and direction are displayed for each transect location (Ctr, Lft and Rt) at several depths: V_.20 = flow magnitude and direction at 1/5 of the total depth below the surface. V_.30 = flow magnitude and direction at 30% of the total depth below the surface. V_.35 = flow magnitude and direction at 35% of the total depth below the surface. V_.50 = flow magnitude and direction at 1/2 of the total depth below the surface. V_.65 = flow magnitude and direction at 65% of the total depth below the surface. V_.70 = flow magnitude and direction at 7/10 of the total depth below the surface. V_.80 = flow magnitude and direction at 4/5 of the total depth below the surface. V_.85 = flow magnitude and direction at 85% of the total depth below the surface. Date = yymmdd, Time = hhmm, TDep = total depth in feet at one location (Ctr, Lft, or Rt) along the transect, Tot.Flow = total flow over the entire transect in cubic feet per second.
