Corpus Christi Channel near Sun Oil Dock Corpus Christi Bay Freshwater Inflow Survey, May 5 - 7, 2000 Transect from North to South, from Port Ingleside to the Spoil Velocity data was measured in real-time with an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) The velocity data presented below was chosen from three locations along each transect: 1) The Center (Ctr), at the midway point of the transect; 2) The Left, or North Bank (Lef), at the point where the distance is equal to one quarter of the entire transect distance; 3) The Right Bank, or South Bank (Rig), at the point where the distance is equal to three quarters of the entire transect distance. Flow magnitude and direction are displayed for each transect location (Ctr, Lef, and Rig) at several depths: V_.10 = flow magnitude (ft/s) and direction (degrees) at 1/10 of the total depth below the surface. V_.30 = flow magnitude (ft/s) and direction (degrees) at 3/10 of the total depth below the surface. V_.50 = flow magnitude (ft/s) and direction (degrees) at 1/2 of the total depth below the surface. V_.70 = flow magnitude (ft/s) and direction (degrees) at 7/10 of the total depth below the surface. V_.90 = flow magnitude (ft/s) and direction (degrees) at 9/10 of the total depth below the surface.
