Eastern Arm Matagorda Bay Freshwater Inflow Survey, March 24 - 26, 2003 Velocity data was measured in real-time with an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) The velocity data presented below was chosen from three locations along each transect: 1) The left bank (Lft), at point near the left bank (south shore) of the Eastern Arm; 2) The center (Ctr), at the halfway point of the transect; 3) The Ship Channel (Shp), at the center and deepest point of the Ship Channel - near the right bank (north shore) of the Eastern Arm. Flow magnitude and direction are displayed for each transect location (Lft, Ctr, Shp) at several depths: V_.25 = flow magnitude and direction at 1/4 of the total depth below the surface. V_.30 = flow magnitude and direction at 0.30 of the total depth below the surface. V_.33 = flow magnitude and direction at 1/3 of the total depth below the surface. V_.50 = flow magnitude and direction at 1/2 of the total depth below the surface. V_.70 = flow magnitude and direction at 0.70 of the total depth below the surface. V_.80 = flow magnitude and direction at 2/5 of the total depth below the surface. V_.85 = flow magnitude and direction at 0.85 of the total depth below the surface. V_.90 = flow magnitude and direction at 9/10 of the total depth below the surface.
